Perihelion 12:26

about

On February 9th, 2010, my wife had a dream. A dream, she said, unlike any other dream she has ever had. I will write what she told me.

Our late son, John Peter was on a bed with no mattress and only the bed springs were holding him up. There was a giant headboard at the top of the bed near his head. A family was there; a man, a woman and a little girl sitting on a chair. My mother and I were there as well as my wife. The man handed a piece of paper to my wife which had the numbers 2,678 and 2 numbers which she couldn’t see. The 2 and the comma and 6 were underlined. The man said, “We want to move back into your house”. My wife handed me the note and said I was very upset. My mother made a comment about it being some money. As soon as the man handed my wife the note, the little girl got off her chair and started to play with her toys. “She had toys everywhere”, my wife said. “And there was all this giant furniture in the house. There was nothing I could do!” The woman in the dream then hugged my wife and said, “I’m sorry”. “I’ve never had a dream like that. It was so vivid,” my wife said.

“What did the man look like?” I asked. “He was just a regular older man”, my wife answered.

“What did the woman look like?”, I asked.

“She had dark hair cut in the shape of a German helmet,” my wife answered.

“And the little girl?”, I asked.

“She was cute and all. She had toys everywhere!” “ I wonder who that little girl was…”, she said.

Over the years, I have reflected on this dream. Here is my interpretation of the dream:

The 2, comma, 6 were underlined because my wife and I got married when we were 26. (As an aside, 26 is 13 X 2. Big life changes happen to me every 13 years.)

The 6,7,8 were representative of our children’s birthdays, who were born in February, March and April, i.e., three consecutive months.

The two numbers she couldn’t see were our 2 grandchildren who were not born yet. That’s why she couldn’t see them yet.

The giant furniture and the toys everywhere were the accumulated wealth of the family in the dream.

Around this time, my daughter Rachelle, unexpectedly received enough scholarship money to attend Ithaca college in western New York. The dream seemed to foretell that.

All the tracks listed below were recorded many years ago.

Track 1 – How Rich You Are

Taken from the September 1st entry in God Calling. September, it seems to me, is the start of a school year.

Track 2 – Gemini,,Gemini

My daughters are into astrology, and it seems Gemini plays an important part in my natal chart. I have two Gemini’s listed in my natal chart. My son, John Peter’s normal due date was June 6th, although he was born premature on March 9th.

Track 3 – Girl With Toys Everywhere

Refers back to my wife’s dream concerning the little girl playing with her toys.

Track 4 – The Money Signature

Good title for all this. Also, it would be a good title for a screenplay or short story. I better get writing!

Track 5 – Perihelion

In 1978, I was voted “Outstanding Student Geographer in Illinois.” One of my professors at Joliet Junior College nominated me and I won. Perihelion is the date in the wintertime when the Earth is closest to the sun. In this hemisphere, it usually happens in late December or early January. It’s always seemed strange to me that Perihelion happens during cold weather, i.e. the Earth being closest to the sun. It’s cold because the tilt of Earth, at this time is away from the sun.

As always, peace

And a special thanks to my daughter Rachelle who took this photo when we were traveling through the state of Montana a few years ago.
