My name is Lily Beaucatcher. I am the "L" in L & M Vapors. We make healthy vape pens. I travel to places around the world -
places with healthy forests - collect the air from there and put it into vape pens. The beneficial elements that the trees give off are in the air, and thus, in our pens. Right now, I am in the Pacific Northwest - the Olympic National Forest - collecting air samples for a vape pen that will be called "Sasquatch in a Vape". I am lonely at the moment, but other than that, I like my job. I am 46 years old, have never been married but still ovulate. As I said...Lily Beaucatcher, that's my name. My home town is Attleboro, Massachusetts but presently I live in a little brick home in Ithaca, New York. I am single, some would say pretty, and I like my life most days. I have a sister and a late brother. My parents are deceased and I had a happy childhood. I like to read, play the piano and watch movies in my free time. My company, L & M Vapors is doing well. I travel full time, have a growing internet business and a growing family of users. As I said we make healthy vape pens. There are 5 ingredients in tree respiration that are only found in the forests of the world. My simple task is to go to an interesting forest or national park, collect the air and put it into our vape pens. I am currently in charge of marketing although that may change soon. It is September 23, 2020 and as I said, I am in the Olympic National Forest and have been here two days. I feel lucky to be here writing this. Yesterday, in my collecting, I confronted 5 bears!! Not even Bear Grylls can make that claim, I think. Next week I will be in the forests of Vanuatu. The salt water is good for some of our customers with breathing issues. A friend of mine recently told me that he thought I must have adopted disabled children in a past life. I don't believe quite in that but it seems telling to me. Most days are delightful. I have a light heart, good teeth and good hobbies. I keep a journal of my days, make note of the weather, temperature, conditions, where in the world I am, etc. And some personal stuff. It is always different and occasionally dangerous. As I said before, Lily Beaucatcher, that's my name.
My company, L & M Vapors, was conceived in my senior year of college. I have a bioengineering degree from the University of Illinois and for our senior design class we had to do a final project in order to graduate. Mine was to collect air samples from nearby forests and transplant the healthy forest air into a collection chamber. Well, this idea evolved into our healthy vape pens and L & M Vapors. As I said, yesterday I was on a remote trail and along the side of the trail was a black bear! Well, I know enough to stop and stand still so I did. A little further on a mother and her cubs were up the trail a bit and then another huge black bear came into my view. Quite a life I have.
The 5 ingredients that are found solely in the forests of the world are the following: 1) Alpha Pinene 2) Beta Pinene 3) Borneol Acetate 4) Camphor 5) Limonene
The first two, Alpha and Beta Pinene are used in antibiotic compounds and the fifth one - Limonene is used in chemotherapy. The forest air provides a slightly narcotic compound which works on the myelin sheaths in the messaging systems in the body. These compounds act to boost the body's immune system. "Forest bathing" is the term that is presently used to describe the process of breathing the air into your lungs from the forest floor. Forest bathing, a good and accurate term, I think.
As I mentioned, L & M Vapors makes recreational healthy vape pens. My simple task is to go to the forests of the world and collect air samples from the forest floor. This is done by a slow, quiet, battery driven air collection system which I developed and operate. The collected air is then put into vape pens. Our next product will be air delivery devices for entire houses. But for now, we are concentrating on our pens. Recently, I was collecting the air on Vancouver Island in Canada. Yes, it appears I have the ideal job. Going to far flung forests and National Parks and quietly collecting the air. But my life is not always this simple...
Track 1 - Gunslinger
Piano title track and one of my favorites. Written as a kind of rebuke to the proliferation of guns throughout the United States and the world, this it the title track of this Cd. I have fantasies about this piano solo going worldwide and being a huge hit. Perhaps I will submit it to internet radio stations...Geese were recorded nearby at Pilcher Park.
Track 2 - The Unravelling
This is a harp solo that I like to listen to and seems to fit well into the track 2 slot. It appeared on a previous Cd of mine. The unravelling refers to the consequences a society experiences when guns proliferate.
Track 3 - The Aftermath
Piano solo with Alchemy software used here...Ambient winds and a taiko drum added in as soundscapes. Again, this track refers to the consequences that a society brings upon itself when weapons proliferate.
Track 4 - Talking to a Ghost
Piano solo with alchemy software and my 12 string guitar added in. This is what seems to happen when a person reaches out to a friend through email, for example, and no reply is forthcoming. Possibly my favorite track on this Cd along with Gunslinger.
Track 5 - Dust
Piano track and inspired by the Bible phrase "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust". Frogs were recorded at Bliss Woods.
Track 6 - When the Church Bells Ring
Water flutes, Alchemy granular strings and warm bells added in. Written to reflect the aftermath of gun violence - when the church bells ring.
Track 7 - Alleycat Serenade
I'm playing my Ramirez guitar here...Just started finger picking a blues progression in an E-B-E-G-B-E tuning. I like the vocal choir soundscapes I added in. Features Milo's purring.
Track 8 - No Love for Lily Beau
Guitar solo spotlighting Lily Beaucatcher, the main character in a musical essay and short story I am writing. Alchemy software, taiko drums and tabla added in. Nature sounds were recorded at Sweet and Whistler Woods outside Chicago.
